Tips for accurate answers

  • Google’s data lags about two days

    By default your agent asks for the 28 days ending three days ago, the freshest complete day. Search Console keeps 16 months of history.

  • Domain and URL-prefix properties

    Both work. A domain property looks like sc-domain:example.com and a URL-prefix property like https://www.example.com/. Your agent takes the ID from your property list.

  • Totals differ by grouping

    Google aggregates by query and by page differently and hides rare queries, so query rows rarely add up to the daily totals. That is normal Search Console behaviour.

  • Large sites

    Each call returns up to 1,000 rows with a cursor for the next page, and filters narrow the results to a page path, a query or a country.
