What is an AI visibility tracker?

An AI visibility tracker asks AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews a fixed set of questions on a schedule, and records which brands each answer names and which pages it cites. Over weeks, that shows your share of answers against competitors, since a single answer varies from one ask to the next.

What it watches

Each check repeats the same calls and keeps what it saw, so the next one reports only what is new. Change the cadence or alerts on any monitor.

Monitors in the docs
  • AI visibility tracking

Your share of answers by engine against up to nine competitors, the pages each engine cites, and brands that start appearing in ChatGPT’s answers. Alerts wait for a move that holds, not one noisy answer.

Things to ask

Plain questions in any connected client. The agent picks the tools.

  • Track how often ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews recommend us for these ten questions, weekly.

  • Add [competitor] and [competitor] to my AI visibility monitor.

  • What changed in AI answers this month? Which pages do the engines cite instead of ours?

  • Which brands started appearing in ChatGPT’s answers for [category] since last month?

  • Run [question] on every engine now, then track it weekly.

  • How much would it cost to track 25 questions on six engines every week?

A tracking dashboard, asking by hand, or Manifold

Dashboards run a set of prompts every day and price by prompts and engines. Asking by hand is free but one answer is mostly noise. Manifold runs the same checks on the schedule you choose, from your agent, and can still answer any one-off prompt. For trackers with their own MCP servers, see the best AI visibility MCP servers.

What it costs a month

Each check pays for the calls it makes, at the same prices as your agent’s calls, and the form shows the monthly cost before it starts. No seats and no plan per monitor. Every workspace gets 250 free credits a month.

Questions about ai visibility tracker

Which AI engines does it track?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google’s AI Overviews and Google’s AI Mode. A monitor starts with ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews; add the others for more cost.

Why weekly by default?

One answer is mostly noise, and the share of answers moves slowly. A weekly check sees a real move for a seventh of the daily price. Ask each question up to three times per check to steady the rate.

Does it alert me when we drop out of an answer?

Alerts are off by default, because one answer changes from ask to ask. When on, they wait for a move that holds across checks. Every move is in the monitor’s feed either way.

Is it different from the AI visibility checker?

The checker runs one question once, free, on this site. A monitor runs your list on a schedule and keeps the history, so it can show a trend and say what changed. AI visibility checker

Can my agent set it up for me?

Yes. Ask in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any connected client, such as “monitor this every day”. The agent shows the monthly cost first and creates the monitor once you agree. Later, ask what changed and it reads the monitor’s finds. You can also make one in the dashboard. How monitors work

Can a monitor run up a bill?

Each check charges for the calls it makes, shown as a monthly estimate before you start. Your workspace’s spend cap applies to monitors as to everything else: at the cap checks are skipped until it resets, and with no credits left a monitor pauses until you act. There is no overage.
