Google Analytics MCP server

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor about your Google Analytics 4 data: sessions, users, conversions and revenue by channel, landing page, campaign or date. Hosted, with no Cloud project or local server of your own, and every Analytics call costs 0 credits.

What your agent can read from Google Analytics

Google Analytics tools in the docs
  • List your Analytics properties

The Google Analytics 4 properties the workspace's connected Google account can read, with the account each sits under.

  • Get an Analytics report

A Google Analytics 4 report from the user's own property: any metrics by any dimensions over a date range, optionally against a second range.

  • Get a property's dimensions and metrics

Every dimension and metric one Google Analytics 4 property reports, with the api_name analytics_get_report takes, custom dimensions and metrics included.

First-party data from Google Analytics

Google Analytics shows what visitors do once they reach your site. Manifold connects it to your agent, next to your Search Console data, so one question can cover the search that brought a visitor and what they did after.

Things to ask

Plain questions in any connected client. The agent picks the tools.

  • How many sessions and key events did we get last month, by channel?
  • Which landing pages brought the most organic sessions in the last 28 days?
  • Compare this month's traffic by source to last month's.
  • Which campaigns drove purchases, and how much revenue did each bring?
  • What's our engagement rate on mobile against desktop?
  • Did organic sessions drop when our Search Console clicks did?

Set up a Google Analytics MCP

A Google Analytics MCP connects your GA4 properties to your AI app, so your agent can read your traffic, conversions and revenue. With Manifold there is no Google Cloud project to create, no Python to install and no local server to run: add the server to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, sign in, connect your Google account, and ask. Every Analytics call costs 0 credits.

How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT to Google Analytics?

Add the Manifold server to Claude or ChatGPT, sign in, and connect the Google account that can see your GA4 property. Then ask your agent about your traffic.

  1. 1

Add Manifold to your AI app

Paste the server URL, https://mcp.manifoldmcp.com/mcp, as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT, or add it as a remote MCP server in Cursor, Claude Code or any other client.

  2. 2

    Sign in to Manifold

Sign in with OAuth when your app asks. A new workspace gets 500 free credits for the paid tools.

  3. 3

    Connect your Google account

In the Manifold app, connect Google with the account that can view your GA4 properties, and leave the Google Analytics permission ticked. The same connection covers Search Console. If you skip this step, your agent gets the link the first time it asks.

  4. 4

    Ask your first question

Try “list my Google Analytics properties”, then pick a property and ask about its sessions, channels, landing pages or conversions.

What you can do with a Google Analytics MCP

The reports people build in GA4's Explore, done in one question to the agent you already use.

  • Monthly traffic report

Sessions, users, key events and revenue by channel for last month against the month before, with the biggest movers in a short summary.

  • Find the pages that convert

Rank landing pages by sessions and by key events, and spot the pages with traffic but no conversions.

  • Diagnose a traffic drop

Break sessions down by date, channel, source and device to see where a drop started, then check Search Console for the queries behind organic.

  • Campaign performance

Sessions, conversions and revenue by campaign, source and medium, so you can see which spend paid back.

  • Custom dimensions and events

Your agent lists every dimension and metric your property reports, custom ones included, and builds the report you describe.

  • Search and analytics together

On the same server, Search Console shows the queries that brought visitors, and the SEO tools add search volume and difficulty for them.

Tips for accurate answers

  • Data settles within a day

By default your agent asks for the 28 days ending yesterday. Today's numbers are still being processed and change through the day.

  • Thresholds hide small rows

When Google signals are on, GA4 withholds rows with few users to protect privacy. The report says so, and totals may then read low.

  • Compare like with like

Ask for a comparison range and every row says whether it is the current or the previous period, so changes are easy to read.

  • Large reports

Each call returns up to 1,000 rows with a cursor for the next page, and filters narrow the results to a channel, a page path or a country.

Questions about the Google Analytics MCP

Do I need a Google Analytics 4 property?

Yes. Manifold reads GA4 properties your Google account can view. Universal Analytics is not supported: Google stopped processing its data.

Which Google Analytics data can my agent read?

Any metric by any dimension your property reports: sessions, users, engagement, key events, conversions and revenue by date, channel, source, campaign, landing page, page, country or device, and your custom dimensions and metrics.

Can it change my Analytics settings?

No. Manifold asks Google only for permission to view your Analytics data. It cannot edit properties, goals or users.

How is this different from Google's own Analytics MCP server?

Google's server runs on your own machine, needs Python, the gcloud command line and a Cloud project with the Analytics APIs turned on, and works only in desktop apps that can start a local server. Manifold is hosted: paste one URL, sign in with Google, and it works in every client, web and mobile included.

Does it work with Search Console too?

Yes. One Google connection covers both, and the Search Console tools read your queries, pages, sitemaps and indexing, also at 0 credits per call. Google Search Console MCP

Which clients does it work with?

Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Grok, OpenCode and any other client that connects to a remote MCP server. Sign in with OAuth, or use an API key from the dashboard for scripts. Setup guides for every client

What does it cost?

Nothing. Google Analytics, Search Console and Bing tools cost 0 credits per call. Every workspace also starts with 500 free credits for the SEO, AI answer and social tools, then Pro from $20 a month. Plans and pricing
