The best Google Ads MCP servers

Eight MCP servers for your own Google Ads account, plus Manifold MCP for public competitor ads, compared on hosting, sign-in, campaign changes and price.

A Google Ads MCP server lets your agent query the Google Ads accounts you can access: campaign and keyword performance, search terms, GAQL, and, on some servers, campaign changes. That is a different job from reading the public Google Ads Transparency Center, which is how your agent sees competitors' ads.

Google publishes an official server you run yourself. Hosted servers skip the Google Cloud project and sign in with Google. Pick by whether you need reporting only, changes with a preview, many client accounts, or ads data next to other marketing sources. Prices below were checked in November 2026.

Google's Google Ads MCP server is the official open-source server (Apache 2.0). You run it with pipx on your machine, or you deploy it to Google Cloud Run and connect over HTTP.

The README on 3 November 2026 lists search (GAQL), get_resource_metadata and list_accessible_customers, plus write tools for assets and labels (create_asset, upload_video_asset, manage_labels, manage_label_associations). Those writes use a propose and confirm step: the server validates first, then applies only when you pass the checksum it returned. A tools_config.yaml turns categories off; set labels and assets to false for a reporting-only install. Google's developer docs page still describes the current release as reporting only, with those three query tools. Follow the README for what the server ships today.

Setup needs a Google Cloud project with the Google Ads API enabled, and OAuth credentials or application default credentials. The README still shows GOOGLE_ADS_DEVELOPER_TOKEN in the local config and calls the token optional; where a setup needs one, it wants at least Explorer access for production accounts. Google's developer docs say developer tokens sunset on 9 September 2026 and that API access now follows the Cloud project's access level.

A local client starts the server like this:

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "google-ads-mcp": {
      "command": "pipx",
      "args": [
        "run",
        "--spec",
        "git+https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-mcp.git",
        "google-ads-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS": "PATH_TO_CREDENTIALS_JSON",
        "GOOGLE_PROJECT_ID": "YOUR_PROJECT_ID",
        "GOOGLE_ADS_DEVELOPER_TOKEN": "YOUR_DEVELOPER_TOKEN"
      }
    }
  }
}

Add GOOGLE_ADS_LOGIN_CUSTOMER_ID when you reach accounts through a manager account. The README documents Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Antigravity for this local config. For Claude or ChatGPT on the web, Google's docs walk through Cloud Run plus OAuth, with the client's callback URI added to your OAuth client.

Best for: Teams that want Google's own server, can run pipx or Cloud Run, and are happy with GAQL reporting plus confirm-gated asset and label writes.

Markifact

Markifact's Google Ads MCP is hosted at https://api.markifact.com/mcp. You create a Markifact account, connect Google Ads with OAuth, then add Markifact from the Claude connector directory or the ChatGPT plugins marketplace. Cursor, Codex and Gemini CLI use the same URL.

Your agent pulls reports across accounts, runs GAQL, uses Keyword Planner, and prepares campaign, keyword, budget and ad changes. Every write waits for your approval before it goes live. Markifact is built for several Google Ads accounts in one workspace.

Pricing starts with trial credits. Pro is $79/mo for one seat and unlimited ad accounts; Team is $249/mo.

Best for: Agencies and in-house teams that want hosted Google Ads work in Claude or ChatGPT, with a human approving every change.

Get MCP Ads

Get MCP Ads is a hosted server at https://mcp.getmcpads.com/google-ads/mcp. Add the URL, sign in with Google, and tick the accounts to share, manager accounts included. There is no Google Cloud project on your side.

Your agent reads campaigns, search terms, Performance Max, Shopping and change history, and can run GAQL and Keyword Planner. Changes (status, budgets, bids, dates, and new campaigns) show a preview first; applying is a second step, and new campaigns start paused. Free covers reads and reports on one ad account. Changes need Pro, from $39/mo. The same hosted URL can also reach GA4 and Search Console.

There is a local package if you want the credentials on your machine. Writes stay off until you turn them on:

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "google-ads": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@getmcpads/google-ads-mcp-server"],
      "env": {
        "GOOGLE_ADS_DEVELOPER_TOKEN": "YOUR_DEVELOPER_TOKEN",
        "GOOGLE_ADS_CLIENT_ID": "YOUR_CLIENT_ID",
        "GOOGLE_ADS_CLIENT_SECRET": "YOUR_CLIENT_SECRET",
        "GOOGLE_ADS_REFRESH_TOKEN": "YOUR_REFRESH_TOKEN",
        "GOOGLE_ADS_ACCOUNT_IDS": "123-456-7890"
      }
    }
  }
}

Set GOOGLE_ADS_ENABLE_WRITES to true only when you want the preview-then-apply writes. The README documents Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor for this local install. ChatGPT is documented on the hosted product.

Best for: Hosted Google Ads reporting and previewed changes without a Cloud project, or a local install if you already have API credentials.

Adzviser

Adzviser's Google Ads MCP is hosted reporting. You create a workspace, authorize Google Ads, then add Adzviser in Claude's connector directory or as a ChatGPT plugin. Other clients use https://mcp.adzviser.com/http.

Your agent asks about spend, conversions, campaigns and search terms. Adzviser does not change campaigns. The same workspace can add other marketing and revenue sources and compare them in one chat.

Pricing is a $0.99 14-day trial, then from $48.99/mo. Plans include unlimited accounts per data source and unlimited MCP queries.

Best for: Marketers who want hosted Google Ads reporting, and other channels, without giving the agent campaign edits.

Windsor.ai

Windsor.ai's Google Ads MCP is hosted. Connect Google Ads in Windsor.ai, then add Windsor.ai in Claude (Customize, then Connectors) or as a ChatGPT plugin. Gemini Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot and Cursor are documented on Windsor's MCP page. The server URL is https://mcp.windsor.ai/.

Your agent reads spend, ROAS, search terms and Quality Score, and can pause campaigns, change budgets, update keyword bids and push negative keywords. New campaigns, ad groups and ads are created paused. You can add GA4, Meta Ads and other Windsor.ai sources on the same account.

Windsor MCP is included on every Windsor.ai plan, including the free plan (one data source, one account, last 30 days). Paid plans start at $19/mo billed annually, or $23/mo billed monthly, for three sources.

Best for: Teams that already use Windsor.ai, or that want Google Ads reporting and writes next to other marketing sources.

Opus Growth

Opus Growth is hosted at https://mcp.opus-growth.com/mcp. In Claude, add that URL as a custom connector and sign in with Google. In ChatGPT, install the published Opus Growth plugin. Cursor and Claude Code use the same URL.

Your agent reads performance, search terms, Quality Score and impression share, and can change campaigns, budgets, bids, keywords, assets and conversion settings. Every write comes back as a preview with the old and new value. New campaigns start paused. Manager (MCC) accounts work through the login customer id, so your agent can rank client accounts in one question.

Pricing: a free trial, then Pro at $49/mo. Agency is listed for several client accounts.

Best for: Hosted Google Ads changes from Claude or ChatGPT, with a preview on every write and MCC reporting.

Pipeboard

Pipeboard's Google Ads MCP is hosted at https://google-ads.mcp.pipeboard.co/. Sign up, connect Google Ads under Pipeboard connections, and add the URL as a streamable HTTP server. Pipeboard documents Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and n8n.

Your agent lists accounts, runs reports and GAQL, and can create, edit and pause campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords and bids. New campaigns start paused. A ?read_only=true query flag hides the write tools if you only want reporting.

Pricing: a free plan, then Pro from $29.90/mo. Paid plans add more ad account slots.

Best for: Hosted Google Ads writes from Claude or ChatGPT, with new campaigns created paused.

Zapier

Zapier's Google Ads MCP is the Google Ads app inside Zapier MCP. You connect Zapier MCP to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, connect Google Ads in Zapier, and your agent finds the action it needs.

The Google Ads page lists reports, campaign lookup, setting campaign status, customer lists (Data Manager) and offline conversions. It is a slice of Google Ads inside Zapier's app catalogue, not a full campaign editor.

Zapier MCP is included in every Zapier plan. Each tool call uses two tasks from the plan's quota.

Best for: Teams already on Zapier who want a few Google Ads actions in the same agent as their other apps.

Manifold MCP

Manifold MCP is hosted, with no API keys of your own, and you pay per call. It does not connect to your Google Ads account.

It reads Google's public Ads Transparency Center (and the Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn ad libraries), so your agent can see what competitors run on Google next to your own account data from one of the servers above. On Google, ads_search_advertisers finds a brand's advertiser ids (one per region), ads_get_advertiser_ads lists that advertiser's ads by domain or advertiser id, and ads_get_ad reads one ad. The same server also has keyword volume and SERP tools for paid search planning.

Every workspace gets 250 free credits a month, and Pro starts at $20/mo. See the ad library tools documentation for what each call returns. Setup is in the Claude and ChatGPT docs.

For the competitor-ad workflow as a real run, see research competitor ads. For Meta's official ads server, see Meta Ads MCP. For Amazon's, see Amazon Ads MCP.

Best for: Competitor Google ads in Claude or ChatGPT, paid per call, in the same server as SEO, Reddit and leads.

How to choose

You only need reporting on accounts you can access, and you can run a local server. Use Google's official Google Ads MCP.

You manage many accounts and want every change approved. Use Markifact.

You want changes with a preview, and no Google Cloud project. Use Get MCP Ads, Opus Growth or Pipeboard.

You want ads reporting plus other marketing data, and no Cloud setup. Use Adzviser if you do not want campaign edits, or Windsor.ai if you also want writes.

You already run Zapier. Use Zapier MCP for the Google Ads actions Zapier lists.

You want competitors' Google ads in the same chat as your account reporting. Keep one of the account servers above, and add Manifold MCP for the public libraries.

For the wider set of marketing servers, see the best MCP servers for marketing. More on this topic sits under paid ads articles.

Run this in your agent

Connect Manifold to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, then paste this prompt.

Find the Google Ads Transparency Center advertiser ids for [competitor] in the United Kingdom, list the ads they run, and pull the offer and landing page for the top three.

Questions people ask

Is there an official Google Ads MCP server?

Yes. Google publishes googleads/google-ads-mcp on GitHub. You run it with pipx or deploy it to Cloud Run. The README lists GAQL search, resource metadata, accessible customers, and write tools for assets and labels that use a propose and confirm step.

Do I need a Google Ads developer token?

Not with the hosted servers in this guide: they sign in with Google. Google's official server README still shows GOOGLE_ADS_DEVELOPER_TOKEN as optional and asks for Explorer access when a token is required for production accounts. Google's developer docs say tokens sunset on 9 September 2026 and that API access now follows the Cloud project's access level.

Can an MCP server change my Google Ads campaigns?

Yes, on several hosted servers. Markifact waits for your approval on every write. Get MCP Ads, Opus Growth and Pipeboard preview changes, and new campaigns start paused. Windsor.ai can pause campaigns, change budgets and push keywords, and creates new campaigns paused. Google's official server can create assets and manage labels after you confirm. Adzviser does not change campaigns. Manifold MCP does not connect to your account.

Does a Google Ads MCP server work in ChatGPT?

The hosted servers in this guide document ChatGPT: Markifact and Windsor.ai from the plugins marketplace, Get MCP Ads and Opus Growth as a hosted connector or plugin, Pipeboard and Zapier as a remote MCP server, Adzviser as a plugin. Custom MCP servers are added at chatgpt.com/plugins (Add, then Create custom MCP server) on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu, on the web. Google's official server reaches ChatGPT when you deploy it to Cloud Run with OAuth.

How do I see competitors' Google ads in Claude?

Use a server that reads the Google Ads Transparency Center, not your own account. Manifold MCP does that with ads_search_advertisers, ads_get_advertiser_ads and ads_get_ad. The account servers above report on accounts you can access. See the best ad library MCP servers for that job.

Which Google Ads MCP server should I use?

Google's official server if you can run it and only need GAQL reporting plus confirm-gated asset and label writes. Markifact if you manage many accounts and want every write approved. Get MCP Ads, Opus Growth or Pipeboard for hosted changes with a preview. Adzviser or Windsor.ai for Google Ads next to other marketing data. Manifold MCP for competitors' public Google ads, next to one of those account servers.
