The prompt

We asked our own agent, Claude Code connected to Manifold, on 27 October 2026:

TEXT
Exploding Topics ranks first on Google for "seo mcp server" with a guide that does not list us.
Find who to email there about the guide, and check the address before I write to it.

The calls

StepToolInputCredits
1leads_get_domain_emailsexplodingtopics.com, up to 10 addresses31
2leads_get_email_statusthe shortlisted address1

The domain search returns the addresses known for a website, with each one's role, department, confidence, verification status and the public pages it was seen on, plus the domain's address pattern. It costs 1 credit for the domain and 30 more when it finds addresses. The status check asks the mail server whether one address will deliver.

What came back

5 addresses, all on the one domain. We leave out the names and personal addresses; this is what they were:

TypeRoleConfidenceStatus
PersonalCo-founder and CTO85valid
PersonalNo role listed85valid
Genericinfo address82valid
PersonalVideo producer75valid
Genericsupport address75valid

The domain's pattern is the first name alone, and the domain accepts all addresses: its mail server says yes to anything sent to it. The status check on the info address came back valid and deliverable, with a score of 99, on Google's mail servers.

What the agent concluded

  • "Valid" means less on this domain. A server that accepts every address cannot prove that any one person's address exists. The confidence and the public sources behind each address carry more weight than the status here.
  • Nobody listed owns the guide. None of the five sits in marketing or editorial: the two named roles are technical and video. The person who wrote the guide is a better target than anyone on this list.
  • The role address is the best-supported first send. The info address is public and the verifier reported it deliverable, though no run can show who reads it.

Run it on yours

TEXT
Find who to email at {domain} about {your reason}. Prefer marketing and editorial roles, and
verify the address you pick before I write.

When you know the person, leads_get_email finds their work email from a name and a domain: it tries Findymail, then Icypeas, and Icypeas checks any address that comes back unverified. Write and send the email yourself; Manifold only looks addresses up.

Where to go next

Questions people ask

What does accept all mean?

The domain's mail server says yes to any address, real or not. No address there can be proven, so weigh the confidence and the public sources instead of the status.

Can the agent find one person's email?

Yes. Given a name and a company domain, it tries Findymail and then Icypeas, and Icypeas checks an address that comes back unverified.

Can my agent send the email?

No. Manifold looks addresses up. Your agent can draft the email in the chat, and you send it yourself.

What if no address is found?

The domain search costs 1 credit when it finds nothing, and 31 when it returns addresses.
