The prompt

We asked our own agent, Claude Code connected to Manifold, on 26 October 2026:

TEXT
Build me a list of SEO agencies in London with 11 to 50 staff. For each one give me the
company name, website, headcount, location and the year it was founded. Start with 25.

The call

StepToolInputCredits
1leads_search_companieskeywords "SEO agency", "search engine optimization"; location London; 11 to 50 staff; limit 253

The search had 54 matches in all. The agent asked for the first 25, the size of a first look, and the call cost 3 credits.

What came back

12 of the 25 rows, in the order the tool returned them:

Each row also carried the company's LinkedIn page, industry, keywords and an estimated revenue range.

What to check before you use it

The agent flagged the rows that did not match the ask:

  • Two companies are in London, Ontario. Foundery and Venre matched on the city name.
  • Four headcount bands differ from the filter. Three companies list a band of 51 to 200 staff and one of 2 to 10, although each profile's own staff count, 19 to 44, is inside the range asked for.
  • Not every company is an agency. SearchPilot sells SEO testing software, and several rows are web development shops that list SEO among their services.

Dropping the two Canadian rows leaves 23. Whether to keep the four band mismatches and the companies that are not agencies is your call. A list from any data source needs this pass; here it happens in the same chat.

The next steps

From the clean list, the agent can find the people who buy: leads_search_people by title at those companies, then leads_get_email for a verified work email for each person you choose. Every call states its price before it runs, so ask for the cost first if the list is long.

Where to go next

Questions people ask

Where does the company data come from?

Manifold's company and people search runs on Icypeas. Your agent sees the provider on every result.

Why did the list include companies outside my filters?

Location and headcount come from each company's own profile. A place name can match more than one city, and a headcount band can lag the real number. Ask your agent to drop the rows that do not match before you use the list.

Can the agent find the people at these companies?

Yes. After the company list, your agent can search people by title at those companies, then look up a verified work email for the ones you choose. Each step states its price before it runs.

How much does a bigger list cost?

Company search costs 12 credits for each 100 rows asked for, rounded up. A list of 100 companies is 12 credits.
