The prompts
We asked our own agent, Claude Code connected to Manifold, on 27 October 2026:
What do people ask ChatGPT about SEO MCP servers? List the prompts with their volume and the
sites ChatGPT cites in its answers. Then, when that came back off topic:
Try the wider topic, "keyword research tool".The calls
| Step | Tool | Input | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | aeo_search_prompts | "seo mcp", up to 20 prompts | 35 |
| 2 | aeo_search_prompts | "keyword research tool", 20 prompts | 38 |
Prompts people have asked ChatGPT or Google's AI Overview on a topic, from the provider's index of answers it has observed: each with a volume estimate, the domains the answer cited, the searches the engine ran and a preview of the answer. The volume is a People Also Ask proxy, not ChatGPT's own logs. It costs 31 credits plus 31 for each 100 prompts.
What came back
"seo mcp" returned 10 prompts, and none of them is about SEO MCP servers: they ask whether ChatGPT can build a WordPress site, whether Webflow is still relevant and what a keyword tool costs.
"keyword research tool" matched 3,709 prompts. The top 20 by volume, of which these 10:
| Prompt | Volume | Sites cited |
|---|---|---|
| is seo dead now with ai? | 3,789 | pewresearch.org, developers.google.com, arxiv.org |
| are backlinks still relevant in 2026? | 1,096 | developers.google.com, ahrefs.com |
| what are the 4 types of keywords? | 1,072 | seo.com, searchengineland.com |
| what does an seo company do? | 909 | developers.google.com |
| what are the top 5 seo strategies? | 690 | developers.google.com, bing.com |
| can i do seo myself for free? | 350 | support.google.com, developers.google.com |
| which keyword tool is most accurate? | 225 | help.openai.com |
| what is the best free seo tool? | 200 | ahrefs.com, search.google.com |
| what is the most accurate seo tool? | 189 | developers.google.com, help.ahrefs.com, semrush.com |
| is google keyword planner still free? | 171 | support.google.com |
What the agent concluded
- A new category has no prompts yet. The index holds what it has seen people ask. "SEO MCP" is too new for it, so it matched loosely and returned nothing usable for 35 credits. Start with the wider topic your buyers already ask about.
- Google's own pages win the citations. 13 of the 20 answers cite a Google domain: Search Central, Search Console help or Google's blog. Ahrefs is cited in 5 and Semrush in 1.
- ChatGPT read one question as being about itself. "Which keyword tool is most accurate?" was answered about ChatGPT's own web search tool, citing OpenAI's help pages. A prompt that reads two ways is a gap a clear page can fill.
- Free is the buying question. Three of the ten ask what is free, and the answer to "what is the best free SEO tool?" names Ahrefs' free tier first.
- Three of the 20 are noise. Aprons, towing and jobs from home matched the topic loosely. Read the list before you track it.
