# Pricing

Start free, save as you grow. One balance of credits covers every tool, from keyword research to ad libraries. Start with 500 free credits and no card. Take a monthly plan to pay less for each credit.

## Plans

- **Pay as you go**: free. 500 credits once, no card needed, then top-ups at 1¢ a credit.
- **Pro**: monthly credits for regular work, below the top-up price.
- **Max**: for heavy use, the lowest price for each credit. Higher limits and rollover are planned.

Pro and Max each come in steps; pick the credits a month.

## Top-ups

On any plan, buy more credits when you need them, from $10 to $500 at a time, at 1¢ a credit. Top-up credits never expire, plan credits are spent first, and auto top-up can buy more when your balance is low.

## What a credit buys

Each call costs credits. The price depends on what you ask for, and your agent sees it before it calls.

An answer from the cache costs 25% of the live price, and nothing if your workspace already paid for it. A few tools, such as the AI readiness check, are free. Every rule is on the [credits page](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/docs/credits.md).

## No surprises on your bill

- **See the price first.** Every tool states its cost. Your agent can check a price, or set a limit for a call, before it spends a credit.
- **Pay for what comes back.** A call holds the most it can cost, then charges only for the results it got. If a provider is down, the call is free.
- **No overage.** When your credits run out, calls stop. Top up, turn on auto top-up, or wait for your plan to renew. We never send a surprise invoice.

## Questions

### Do credits expire?

Plan credits reset every month. Top-up credits never expire. We spend your plan credits first.

### What happens when I run out?

Your agent gets a clear message and the call stops. Nothing is charged. Top up or change plan on the Billing page.

### Can I change plan?

Yes. Move between Pay as you go, Pro and Max, or pick a different amount of credits, on the Billing page.

### Do I pay for each seat?

No. You pay for credits, not seats.

### Do failed calls cost credits?

No, when a provider is down or the input is wrong. A call that reaches a provider and finds nothing costs 1 credit.

### Can I cap what my agent spends?

Yes. Your agent can set a limit on any call, and it can only spend what is in your balance, unless you turn on auto top-up.
