# Export YouTube comments to a spreadsheet

> Paste a YouTube link. We pull the video's most liked comments, with who wrote each, the likes and the reply count, ready to read or download as a CSV.

This is a free tool on the web page at https://www.manifoldmcp.com/free-tools/youtube-comment-scraper: 10 runs a day per visitor, no signup, run by a person in a browser. An agent can do the same job, and more, by connecting Manifold's MCP server at `https://mcp.manifoldmcp.com/mcp` (250 free credits a month). See [YouTube MCP server](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/mcp/youtube.md).

## How it works

1. Copy the link of a public YouTube video and paste it in.
2. Add a word to keep only the comments that use it, if you like.
3. Read the comments, most liked first, then download them as a CSV.

## Every comment on every review of your category

The comments under a review are a buyer's questions, unprompted. With Manifold connected, your agent reads the comments on every video about your category or a rival, with the transcripts, and tells you what viewers ask, doubt and want.

| | Here | In your agent with Manifold |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Videos | One link | Every video of a channel, or a search |
| Comments | The first page | Every page, replies included |
| Context | Not shown | The video's transcript beside its comments |
| Price | Free | 1 credit a page of comments |

### Things to ask your agent

- Read the comments on the top ten YouTube reviews of [product] and list the objections, quoted.
- What do viewers ask in the comments of [channel]'s last five videos?
- Find YouTube videos about [problem] and summarise what commenters say they have tried.

## Questions

### How do I download YouTube comments?

Paste the video's link above and press the button. The comments come back most liked first, and Download .csv saves them for a spreadsheet.

### Do I need a YouTube API key?

No. The comments are read on Manifold's side, so there is no Google Cloud project or API quota to set up.

### Can I find comments that mention a word?

Yes. Add the word in the second box, and only the comments that use it are kept. [YouTube comment search](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/free-tools/youtube-comment-search.md).

### Is the YouTube comment scraper free?

Yes. You get 10 exports a day here, with no signup. For more, connect Manifold to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor: the free plan gives your agent 250 credits every month, with no card.
