# Where does your site rank on Google?

> Enter a keyword and your domain. We search the top 100 results on Google, live from the US, and show your position, the page that ranks and who is just above you.

This is a free tool on the web page at https://www.manifoldmcp.com/free-tools/website-rank-checker: 5 runs a day per visitor, no signup, run by a person in a browser. An agent can do the same job, and more, by connecting Manifold's MCP server at `https://mcp.manifoldmcp.com/mcp` (250 free credits a month). See [SEO MCP server](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/mcp/seo.md).

## How it works

1. Type the keyword as people search it.
2. Enter your domain, or a competitor's.
3. See the position out of 100, the page that ranks, and the sites just ahead.

## Track every keyword, every day

One rank is a reading; a trend is a decision. With Manifold connected, your agent checks every keyword you care about, for you and your competitors, watches them for moves, and ties each to the clicks Search Console says it brings.

| | Here | In your agent with Manifold |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Keywords | One | Your whole list |
| Sites | One | You and every competitor |
| Over time | Not tracked | Watched daily, with an alert when one moves |
| Price | Free | 6 credits a check |

### Things to ask your agent

- Check where we rank for these 30 keywords, and where [competitor] ranks for each.
- Watch our rankings for [keywords] and tell me when any drops out of the top 10.
- Which of our Search Console queries rank 8 to 20, and what would move each onto page one?

## Questions

### How does the rank checker work?

It runs your keyword on Google from the United States on a desktop, reads the top 100 organic results, and finds the first one on your domain or its subdomains.

### Why is my rank different when I search?

Your own searches are tailored to your location and history. This checks from a neutral US desktop, which is closer to what a new visitor sees.

### Can I check my rank in another country?

Not on this page, which checks the US. In your agent, Manifold checks any country, city or language, on mobile too.

### Is the website rank checker free?

Yes. You get 5 checks a day here, with no signup. For more, connect Manifold to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor: the free plan gives your agent 250 credits every month, with no card.
