# Export Instagram comments to a spreadsheet

> Paste the link to an Instagram post or reel. We pull the comments under it, with who wrote each and the likes, ready to read, filter or download as a CSV.

This is a free tool on the web page at https://www.manifoldmcp.com/free-tools/instagram-comment-exporter: 10 runs a day per visitor, no signup, run by a person in a browser. An agent can do the same job, and more, by connecting Manifold's MCP server at `https://mcp.manifoldmcp.com/mcp` (250 free credits a month). See [Instagram MCP server](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/mcp/instagram.md).

## How it works

1. Copy the link of a public Instagram post or reel and paste it in.
2. Add a word to keep only the comments that use it, if you like.
3. Read the comments, then download them as a CSV or copy them.

## From one post's comments to what a market wants

With Manifold connected, your agent reads the comments across a brand's posts or a hashtag, with replies, and sorts them into questions, objections and praise you can answer in your content and your product pages.

| | Here | In your agent with Manifold |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Posts | One link | Every post of an account, or a hashtag |
| Comments | The first page | Every page, replies included |
| Analysis | A word filter | Questions, objections and themes, counted and quoted |
| Price | Free | 1 credit a page, 15 with replies |

### Things to ask your agent

- Read the comments on [brand]'s last 20 Instagram posts and list the product questions people ask.
- Compare what commenters say under [our] posts and [competitor]'s posts this month.
- Which of [brand]'s Instagram posts drew the most questions in the comments, and what were they?

## Questions

### How do I export Instagram comments?

Paste the post's or reel's link above and press the button. The comments come back on the page, and Download .csv saves them for a spreadsheet.

### Does it include replies to comments?

No, it reads the top-level comments, which is where most of what people say sits. In your agent, Manifold can fetch the replies too.

### Do I need to log in to Instagram?

No. It reads public posts as anyone could see them, so there is nothing to sign in to and no Instagram app to set up.

### Is the Instagram comment exporter free?

Yes. You get 10 exports a day here, with no signup. For more, connect Manifold to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor: the free plan gives your agent 250 credits every month, with no card.
