It is the AI-written answer Google shows above the usual results for some searches, with links to the pages it drew on. It answers the question on the results page, so fewer people click through to the pages below it.

### How does the AI Overview checker work?

It searches Google for your keyword from the United States on a desktop, reads the AI Overview if one appears and the organic results under it, and checks your domain against both.

### Why did no AI Overview appear?

Google shows one only for some searches, and the same search can show one on one day and not the next. Navigational and very commercial searches often have none.

### How do I get cited in AI Overviews?
