# LinkedIn research with an AI agent

> LinkedIn is where buyers and competitors show their work. These guides show how to search posts, read profiles and company pages, and pick an MCP server that matches the job.

## What is a LinkedIn MCP server?

A LinkedIn MCP server connects your AI agent to LinkedIn data or LinkedIn content workflows. Some search public posts and profiles. Others draft, schedule and publish through a LinkedIn content tool you already pay for.

## Guides

- [The best LinkedIn MCP servers](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/blog/best-linkedin-mcp-servers.md): LinkedIn does not publish an official MCP server that we can find. Here is how the third-party options compare, what they cost, and which one fits your workflow.

## Questions

### Is there an official LinkedIn MCP?

Not that we can find. LinkedIn does not list an MCP server, so every option is third party.

### Can an agent post for me?

Content tools such as Postiv, ContentIn and Taplio can draft and schedule posts through their own LinkedIn integration. Manifold searches and reads public LinkedIn data and does not post.

### Do I need my own LinkedIn API keys?

Not with Manifold, which is hosted with no API keys of your own. Postiv, ContentIn and Taplio connect through your account with them. Local open-source servers such as stickerdaniel's use your own LinkedIn session on your machine.
