# The best TikTok MCP servers

> Seven MCP servers that let your agent search TikTok videos and read creators, comments and transcripts, compared on what they cover, setup and price.

## Key takeaways

- TikTok MCP servers fall into four groups: hosted research servers, local browser servers that run Playwright on your machine, transcript and video analysis servers, and own-account servers for publishing or ads.
- TikTok's Research API is limited to approved academic and non-profit researchers in the US and EU, and its Display API reads only accounts that sign in to your app. Most TikTok MCP servers read public data instead.
- HasData TikTok MCP is hosted, with 1,000 free credits every month (about 100 TikTok calls), then $49/mo for 200,000 credits. CreatorCrawl and VeedCrawl each give 50 free credits on signup.
- nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server is free and open source (MIT) and runs with uvx. Transcription needs your own speech-to-text endpoint.
- Manifold is hosted with no API keys of your own and is paid per call. Every workspace gets 500 free credits, then Pro starts at $20/mo.

When your agent needs TikTok data, an MCP server connects it to videos, comments, transcripts and creator profiles. Some servers are hosted and work with the vendor's account or API key. Others run on your own machine with a browser. Each charges in its own way and suits a different job.

TikTok's own [Research API](https://developers.tiktok.com/products/research-api/) is limited to approved academic and non-profit researchers in the US and EU, and its Display API reads only the accounts that sign in to your app. That is why most TikTok MCP servers read public data instead.

Here are the main options, what they cover, what they cost (checked October 2026), and which one fits your workflow.

## The kinds of TikTok MCP servers

TikTok MCP servers fall into four groups by what they offer and how they run:

**Hosted research servers** pull videos, profiles, comments and sometimes transcripts from public TikTok pages, with no TikTok developer account. You sign in with the vendor's own account or API key. Use one when you want to search videos, read creators and check comments without running anything yourself.

**Local browser servers** drive Playwright or a headless browser against TikTok's public pages on your own machine. They need no TikTok API keys, but setup takes longer and they only run locally. Use one when you want full control and can manage a local server.

**Transcript and video analysis servers** add speech-to-text and AI extraction to the basic reads. Some need your own speech-to-text key, others include transcription in their price. Use one when what is said in videos matters more than engagement numbers.

**Own-account servers** work on your own TikTok account through TikTok's official APIs. [TikTok for Business MCP](https://ads.tiktok.com/resources/help/article/about-tiktok-for-business-mcp-server), TikTok's own server, manages and reports on your ad campaigns. These do a different job from public research, so they are not compared here. ## HasData TikTok MCP

[HasData TikTok MCP](https://github.com/HasData/tiktok-mcp) is a hosted server at `https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp?apis=tiktok`. It has four tools: a public profile by handle, a page of an account's videos, the comments on a video, and keyword search for videos or creators. Results carry engagement counts such as followers, likes, plays and comments.

Clients with OAuth, such as Claude, can add the URL as a connector and sign in. Otherwise send a HasData API key in an `x-api-key` header, or use the stdio launchers on npm (`@hasdata/tiktok-mcp`) and PyPI (`hasdata-tiktok-mcp`). Get a key from the [HasData dashboard](https://app.hasdata.com/sign-up).

The free plan gives 1,000 credits every month, which the README puts at 100 TikTok calls. After that, the Startup plan is [$49/mo for 200,000 credits](https://hasdata.com/prices).

**Best for:** Hosted TikTok research when a free monthly allowance covers your light use.

## SocialDataX TikTok MCP

[SocialDataX TikTok MCP](https://github.com/devinchen2014/tiktok-mcp) is a hosted server at `https://mcp.socialdatax.com/tiktok/mcp`. Its tools search users and posts, read post details from a URL, fetch first-level comments and their replies, read creator profiles and posts, and submit transcript jobs that you check by `job_id`. Add it as a streamable HTTP server with a SocialDataX API key in an `Authorization: Bearer` header.

Request a key from [SocialDataX](https://socialdatax.com/ai). Its listing does not publish prices.

**Best for:** Hosted TikTok research when you need comment replies and transcripts as async jobs.

## VeedCrawl MCP

[VeedCrawl MCP](https://github.com/Veedcrawl/mcp) is a local server installed with `npm install -g @veedcrawl/mcp`. It searches public videos on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook by topic or creator, reads metadata for a video URL (X included), fetches transcripts from captions or AI speech-to-text, extracts structured answers from a video with an optional JSON Schema, and reads TikTok and Instagram creator profiles with up to 50 recent videos.

Run it as `veedcrawl-mcp` with a key from [veedcrawl.com](https://veedcrawl.com) in the `VEEDCRAWL_API_KEY` environment variable. You get 50 free credits on signup, and metadata calls are free. Paid plans from $15/mo are listed as coming soon.

**Best for:** Cross-platform video search, transcripts and structured extraction when you work across several video platforms.

## nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server

[nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server](https://github.com/nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server) is a free, open-source Python server (MIT) that runs with `uvx tiktok-mcp-server`. It needs Python 3.11 or later, which uv installs for you, and downloads Playwright Chromium on first use. Its six tools read profiles, an account's recent videos and a video's comments, search videos by keyword or hashtag, discover creators on a topic, and transcribe a video by sending its audio to your own OpenAI-compatible speech-to-text endpoint (Groq, OpenAI or a Whisper server you host).

Set `TRANSCRIBE_API_URL` and `TRANSCRIBE_API_KEY` to turn on transcription, or leave them out to use the other five tools. On Linux, run `uvx --from playwright playwright install-deps chromium` once for the system libraries headless Chromium needs.

**Best for:** Free local TikTok research when you can run Playwright and supply your own speech-to-text API.

## TokScript MCP

[TokScript MCP](https://tokscript.com/mcp) is a hosted connector for Claude and ChatGPT. Copy your MCP URL from TokScript, add it as a custom connector, and sign in with your TokScript account. Its tools pull transcripts with timestamps from TikTok, Instagram and YouTube videos, download TikTok and Instagram videos without watermarks, read TikTok and Instagram profiles and their videos, and run bulk transcript jobs.

The connector comes with any plan from [$10/mo or $39/year](https://tokscript.com/mcp). Some tools are marked free on every plan, while bulk processing and downloads need a higher tier.

**Best for:** Transcript-first workflows across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts.

## CreatorCrawl

[CreatorCrawl](https://creatorcrawl.com/platforms/tiktok/) is a hosted server at `https://app.creatorcrawl.com/api/mcp`. It exposes 19 TikTok endpoints as tools: profile, profile videos, video detail, comments, transcript, followers, following, user search, keyword search, hashtag search, top search, trending feed, popular videos, popular creators, popular hashtags, popular songs, song detail, videos using a song, and live stream details.

Add the URL to your MCP client and sign in through OAuth in your browser. Each call costs 1 CreatorCrawl credit. You get [50 free credits on signup](https://creatorcrawl.com/platforms/tiktok/), then bundles start at $29 for 5,000 credits, with no subscription.

**Best for:** Trend research and creator vetting when you need trending feeds, popular sounds and hashtags as well as profiles and videos.

## Manifold

Manifold's [TikTok MCP](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/mcp/tiktok) is hosted, with no API keys of your own. Its TikTok tools search videos by keyword, read a profile, list an account's videos newest or most viewed first, read a single video with its engagement, its comments and its transcript, list an account's followers, and show where an account's audience is by country. The same server also covers SEO, AI answers, Reddit, other social platforms, ads and leads.

Manifold is pay per call. Every workspace gets 500 free credits, then Pro starts at $20/mo. See the [TikTok tools documentation](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/docs/tools/tiktok) for what each tool returns.

**Honest limits:** Manifold does not post to TikTok, manage TikTok ads or read your own account's analytics. It has no trending feed, popular sounds or hashtag tools; CreatorCrawl covers those.

**Best for:** Pay per call TikTok research, including followers and audience countries, in the same server as your SEO, Reddit, ads and leads research.

## Which TikTok MCP server should you use?

Pick by whether you need transcripts or trends, and whether you want to run a server yourself.

**You want hosted research with a free monthly allowance.** [HasData TikTok MCP](https://github.com/HasData/tiktok-mcp) gives you 1,000 free credits every month, about 100 TikTok calls.

**You want transcripts across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts.** [TokScript MCP](https://tokscript.com/mcp) covers all three, with watermark-free downloads on higher plans.

**You need trending feeds, popular sounds and hashtags.** [CreatorCrawl](https://creatorcrawl.com/platforms/tiktok/) has the trending feed, popular hashtags and popular songs built in.

**You want cross-platform video search and AI extraction.** [VeedCrawl MCP](https://github.com/Veedcrawl/mcp) searches TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook, with structured extraction from a JSON Schema.

**You want a free local server and can run Playwright.** [nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server](https://github.com/nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server) is open source (MIT), with optional transcription through your own speech-to-text API.

**You want TikTok research paid per call, next to SEO, Reddit, ads and leads.** The [TikTok MCP server from Manifold](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/mcp/tiktok) covers it in one hosted server, with no API keys of your own.

## Run this in your agent

Connect Manifold to your agent, then paste this prompt:

```text
Find the TikToks about cold brew coffee from the last month, pull the top five by views, read their transcripts, and summarise the common talking points.
```

It uses [`tiktok_search_videos`](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/docs/tools/tiktok#tiktok_search_videos), [`tiktok_get_video`](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/docs/tools/tiktok#tiktok_get_video), [`tiktok_get_transcript`](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/docs/tools/tiktok#tiktok_get_transcript) and [`tiktok_get_profile`](https://www.manifoldmcp.com/docs/tools/tiktok#tiktok_get_profile).

## Questions people ask

### What is a TikTok MCP server?

A TikTok MCP server connects your AI agent to TikTok data: videos, profiles, comments, transcripts and search results. Instead of scrolling TikTok and copying details by hand, your agent calls the server and gets the data back in the conversation.

### Do I need a TikTok developer account?

Not with any server in this guide. The hosted ones (HasData, SocialDataX, TokScript, CreatorCrawl and Manifold) use their own account or API key. VeedCrawl runs locally with a VeedCrawl API key, and nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server reads public pages with a local browser.

### Which TikTok MCP server is free?

nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server is free and open source (MIT) but runs locally. HasData gives 1,000 free credits every month, about 100 TikTok calls. CreatorCrawl and VeedCrawl give 50 free credits on signup, and Manifold gives every workspace 500 free credits.

### Can my agent get TikTok transcripts?

Yes. TokScript, VeedCrawl, CreatorCrawl, SocialDataX, Manifold and nuelcyoung/tiktok-mcp-server all return transcripts. SocialDataX runs them as async jobs, and nuelcyoung's server needs your own speech-to-text endpoint.

### Which is best for trending research?

CreatorCrawl. It exposes 19 TikTok endpoints, including the trending feed, popular videos, popular creators, popular hashtags and popular songs. No other server here has trend tools built in.

### How much do TikTok MCP servers cost?

Checked October 2026: HasData is free for 1,000 credits a month, then $49/mo for 200,000 credits. TokScript starts at $10/mo or $39/year. CreatorCrawl sells credit bundles from $29 for 5,000. VeedCrawl lists paid plans from $15/mo as coming soon. Manifold is pay per call, with Pro from $20/mo.
